1. University Introduction
Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), under the Ministry of Education, is a national key university and part of the “Double First-Class” and “211 Project” initiatives. BFSU is also included in the “985 Project Innovation Platform” and the “2011 Plan” and is a key participant in China’s high-level public-funded graduate and undergraduate cultural quality education programs. It has established exchange agreements with 299 institutions across 84 countries and regions, including notable partnerships with Brown University, the University of Edinburgh, and Heidelberg University. Additionally, BFSU hosts 23 Confucius Institutes and independent Confucius Classrooms in 18 countries across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, leading among Chinese universities.
