The Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE) is a university directly under the Ministry of Education, co-founded by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Finance, and the Beijing Municipal Government. It is part of the national “Double First-Class” initiative, the “Project 211,” and was among the first to be included in the “Advantageous Discipline Innovation Platform” program. The university has a “Double First-Class” discipline in Applied Economics, which was rated A+ in the fourth national discipline evaluation. It has national key disciplines in Applied Economics (a first-level discipline) and Accounting (a second-level discipline). CUFE also has Beijing key disciplines in two first-level disciplines—Business Administration and Statistics—and in three second-level disciplines—Political Economy, Marxism in China, and World Economy. Additionally, it has Beijing key interdisciplinary disciplines in Economic Information Management and Multinational Corporation Management. The university is also home to “Cutting-Edge” disciplines in Beijing, such as Financial Security Engineering and Strategic Economics & Civil-Military Integration. CUFE offers five first-level doctoral programs in Applied Economics, Theoretical Economics, Business Administration, Statistics, and Marxist Theory, as well as 16 first-level master’s programs in Public Administration, Law, Sociology, Management Science and Engineering, and more. The university also offers 19 professional master’s degree programs in areas like Business Administration, Accounting, Law, Public Administration, Finance, and Auditing. The secretariat of the National Steering Committee for Postgraduate Education in Insurance and Asset Valuation is located at CUFE. The university also has five postdoctoral research stations.
